Our founder recalls, "It all started in a car ride home from a Cinco de Mayo party when our 14-year-old daughter asked if she could raise funds to send mosquito nets to Africa or help build a well there. A few weeks later, we learned that our sponsored child in Zambia got malaria, so the issue hit close to home for us.
Two months later, we were visiting Nevada. There were quite a few homeless people on the Las Vegas strip. People walked right by them as if they didn't see them. Our daughter wanted to put together hygiene kits for the homeless, which we did when we came home."
We created Faith Hope and Love in Action to provide ongoing, practical help to homeless people in our community as well as to people in Africa in their fight against malaria.
The mission of Faith Hope and Love in Action is to bring hope to people in Arizona and around the world by providing practical help where the help is needed as an act of sharing the love of Jesus.
We desire to help better the lives of those around us out of an overflow of the love we received from God. Our hygiene kits contain a message, "You are seen and you are loved. You are not alone." Our founder shares, "That's what God did for me. He saw me and was with me in the darkest pit of my life. In His love, He mended my heart and put joy back in it. Our hope is that the people we serve will experience this boundless love of God."
In addition to seeking tax-deductible donations, we have dish towels for sale. If you are interested in purchasing them, please drop us a line on our home page.
